Tip of the week

Temper your water in the prop area!

To maintain proper soil temperatures of 70 – 75 F for best rooting in propagation, take a look at temperature of water from mist, boom, or hose. During northern winter conditions, well water can easily be 50 F or lower. When this water is applied to rooting media, soil temps drop dramatically and take a long time to come back up. So, for best rooting, run your propagation water thru a water heater to get 70 F water that is then applied to cuttings. Remember, soil temperature, not air temperature, determines rooting!
